The Race Across America, or RAAM, is a bicycle race across the USA. It is one of the longest events in the world. The direction is from the west coast to the east coast of the United States, approximately 3,000 miles (4,800 km), making it a transcontinental event.

It is a nonstop event from start to finish. In June 2015 I had the chance to attend Severin Zotter and his Team of 12 people at this race. He won! In 8 days, 8 hours and 17 minutes (including overall 8 hours and 2 minutes of sleep) he rode across America! Congratulations!
